Job summary

Bloom Engineering, a Wabtec Company, is seeking an experienced Fitter Welder to perform skilled fitting, fabrication, assembly, and welding of burners, valves, piping components, and related structures in alignment with engineering drawings and quality requirements.

This union position pays $38.11/hour with a Monday–Friday, first-shift schedule. Overtime may be required based on business needs, and benefits including health, welfare, and retirement are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AWS or similar certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant welding experience.
• Proficient in TIG, stick and MIG welding.
• Able to read engineering drawings to understand specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, determine material specs and dimensions for tools and assembly.
• Weld ferrous and non-ferrous materials in multiple positions.
• Preheat, post-heat and perform welds per procedures and specs.
• Inspect welds and verify fit-up against drawings and tolerances.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and proper PPE usage.
