Job summary

Weldall Manufacturing, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking experienced fitter-welders to join our open shop. You will read blueprints, lay out welds, and perform welding from drawings and specifications on 1st or 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience as an open table fitter.
• Expert level blueprint reading ability.
• High School diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Heavy manufacturing in a job shop environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend welding instructions and structural drawings.
• Layout stitch welds and determine weld positions and sizes.
• Operate fuel gas and plasma torches for fitting purposes.
• Move material using a forklift and crane following SOP and safety rules.
• Perform cleaning, assembly, and straightening as directed.

Shift Availability

Openings are available on 1st and 2nd shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(Including the following, however, additional duties may apply as required)

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
• Read and comprehend welding instructions and structural drawings
• Verifies correct quantity and quality of parts welded
• Layout stitch welds; locations of weld and weld size for welders
• Work from drawings, patterns, fixtures and specifications
• Layout and operate both fuel gas and plasma hand torches for fitting purposes
• Move material using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedure, safety regulations and practices
• Assist with welding as needed
• Perform cleaning, assembly, and straightening operations as directed by Supervision
• May be required to perform the following welding processes: GMAW, Flux, Sub Arc, etc.
• Ability to comply with all quality policies, specifications and instructions
• Ability to come to work on a consistent basis
