Base pay range

$27.00/hr - $35.00/hr

Company Overview

Patriot Erectors is a full-service, AISC Certified Steel Fabricator and AISC Advanced Steel Erector. We are looking to hire structural and miscellaneous steel fabricators to join our dynamic and growth-oriented fabrication team as a Fitter Welder.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Use pre-nested cut cards and other documentation to convert raw steel shapes into semi-finished parts for fabrication.
• Read, understand, and verify cut card information such as beam type, size, weight, cut length, and heat number.

Essential Job Functions

• Verify the material is correct before cutting.
• Work off pre-nested cut sheets and match descriptions and lengths with the material, using tape measures.
• Use manual or CNC measuring tools to measure materials.
• Piece mark and identify steel per jobs.
• Properly stack and stage materials safely.
• Understand, interpret, and edit G-code programming.
• Recognize, deploy, and use inserts, fixtures, and tooling properly.
• Ensure inserts are in working condition and material cuts are square.
• Mark drops and return them to stock.
• Load/unload machines with an overhead crane.
• Perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on CNC machinery.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
• Know the different material types (WF, TS, CH, L).

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• 12+ months experience in welding.
• Self-starter and eager to learn.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in overhead crane operation helpful.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
