Job summary

Arcosa Shoring Products in Union City, MI is seeking multiple Full Time 1st shift Fitter/Welder to meet production demands. You’ll lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated metal parts and tack-weld pieces using MIG welders.

The role requires welding steel and aluminum, reading specifications and blueprints, and passing a two-part weld test. AWS certification is preferred. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, and a bonus program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year mig welding experience.
• Qualified to weld steel and aluminum.
• Ideal candidate will hold a AWS Certification.
• Experience reading specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Must be able to pass a 2 part weld test as part of the interview process.

As aFitter/Welder, you’ll lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches in preparation for welding. You’ll also tack-weld pieces together using mig welders.

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6am-3:30pm
