Job summary

Arcosa Shoring Products in Mason, MI is seeking multiple 1st shift Fitter/Welders to meet increased production demands. You’ll lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches in preparation for welding.

You’ll also tack-weld pieces using MIG welders and perform repairs. The role requires reading blueprints, measuring to tolerances, and passing a weld test.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience is required or preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Ability to measure and verify tolerances to specification.
• Reliable, regular attendance and punctuality.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Weld test may be part of the interview process.

As a Fitter/Welder, you’ll lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches in preparation for welding. You’ll also tack-weld pieces together using mig welders and perform repairs.

Arcosa Shoring Products makes trench shoring equipment for the construction industry. Our dedicated team builds high-quality, life saving trench shields and shoring products that are made to last.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 3:30 pm

What You’ll Do

• Fit and weld sub-assemblies into final product

Desired Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year mig welding experience
• Qualified to weld steel and aluminum
• Ideal candidate will hold a AWS Certification
• Experience reading specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Must be able to pass a weld test as part of the interview process
