Job summary

Arcosa Shoring Products in Mason, MI is seeking multiple 1st shift Fitter/Welders to meet production demands. You will lay out, position, align, and fit welded parts according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, and sketches to prepare for welding.

Responsibilities include tacking with MIG welders, performing flat and horizontal groove and fillet welds, and verifying measurements within tolerances. AWS certification and ability to pass a weld test are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of MIG welding experience.
• Ability to weld steel and aluminum.
• AWS certification is preferred.
• Experience reading shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Reliable attendance and ability to pass a weld test.

Arcosa Shoring Products, is seeking multiple 1st shift Fitter/Weldersin our Mason, MIplant to meet increased production demands. As aFitter/Welder, you’ll lay out, position, align, and fit together fabricated parts of metal according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches in preparation for welding. You’ll also tack-weld pieces together using mig welders and perform repairs.

What you’ll do:

• Fit and weld sub-assemblies into final product
• Perform flat and horizontal groove welds
• Accurately measure within specified tolerances
• Perform flat and horizontal fillet welds

Desired qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year mig welding experience
• Qualified to weld steel and aluminum
• Ideal candidate will hold a AWS Certification
• Experience reading specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Must be able to pass a weld test as part of the interview process
