Job summary

Arcosa Shoring Products in Union City, MI is seeking a Full Time 1st shift Fitter/Welder to meet production demands. You’ll lay out, position, align, and fit metal parts according to layouts, orders, blueprints, and sketches in preparation for welding.

You’ll tack-weld using MIG welders and assemble sub‑assemblies into final products. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year MIG welding experience, can read specifications and drawings, and are able to pass a weld test.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year MIG welding experience.
• Qualified to weld steel and aluminum.
• AWS Certification preferred.
• Experience reading specifications, shop drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Must pass a 2-part weld test during interview.

Responsibilities

• Fit and weld sub-assemblies into final product.
• Perform flat and horizontal groove welds.
• Accurately measure within specified tolerances.
• Perform flat and horizontal fillet welds.
