Job summary

Robinson Fans, Inc. in Harmony, PA is seeking motivated Fitters to join our fabrication team. You will be responsible for fitting and welding fabricated equipment, with emphasis on tack welding, reading drawings, and following shop travelers.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of MIG and flux-cored welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read weld symbols. The role operates Mon-Fri, 6:00am-2:30pm, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Tack and weld assemblies per specifications and ensure quality.
• Maintain safety and identify potential hazards in equipment and processes.
• Support cross-training in other departments as needed.

We are currently seeking motivated and experienced Fitters to work at either our Harmony, PA or Ellwood City, PA facility. As a Fitter at Robinson Fans,you will be responsible for the fitting of all fabricated equipment. You must have keen attention to detail and the ability to tack and weld as needed. The regular schedule for this position is M-F 6:00am-2:30pm.

• Review project assignments/instructions from Team Leader.
• Review drawings and job travelers for specific requirements.
• Obtain an understanding of the task and develop an action plan.
• Tack assembly together per specifications.
• Ensure work meets quality standards.
• Consistently look for ways to eliminate waste and improve processes.
• Practice safety in all aspects of the job.
• Look for safety issues with equipment and processes.
• Additional responsibilities as needed.

What you bring

• A combination of training and strong fabricating experience is required for this position.
• A minimum of two years of experience with MIG and flux-cored weldingprocesses
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Read and understand Robinson fabrication drawings, blueprints, welding procedures, and shop travelers.
• Ability to read weld symbols.
• Solid written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in other departments.
• Ability to accept feedback and adapt to change.
• Innovative and resourceful when problem-solving.
• Fluent in English, working with written and verbal communication.
• Must be able to wear a respirator and safety boots, must be able to climb a ladder, hear safety alarms, and lift to 50lbs.
