Job summary

Robinson Fans, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring an entry-level Laborer to support manufacturing operations. You will move materials, assist on the production floor, and learn to operate basic shop equipment with safety as a priority.

The role offers an opportunity to grow within the company, with a regular M-F schedule 6:00am-2:30pm and occasional 2nd shift. Candidates should be organized, proactive, and willing to learn multiple tasks across departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, chippers, wire brushes, power tools and hand tools.
• Well-organized and able to multi-task, prioritize and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials to and from production operations or storage areas.
• Use grinders, chipping hammers, wire brushes, etc., to clean welds and prepare materials for painting.
• Weigh, identify, and segregate scraps and maintain required records.
• Use a cutting torch to cut scrap pieces to size, as necessary.
• Assist in all production operations when requested or assigned.
• Operate a beveling machine and punch when directed.
• Wear protective clothing and respirators when necessary and required by supervisor.
• Must be able to hear safety alarms, climb ladders, lift to 50 lbs, and wear safety boots.

Due to strong growth, we are seeking an additional Laborer at our Salt Lake City, UT facility that has the potential to grow with the company. The Laborer position plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for assisting all areas of production, performing nondestructive testing, transporting materials, and other duties as assigned. We need an exceptionally well-organized teammate who can effectively multi-task and prioritize while taking the initiative to support the team effectively.

This entry-level position provides candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to advance to other areas and positions. The regular schedule for this position is M-F 6:00am-2:30pm. Flexibility to work 2nd shift on occasion is a plus!

What You’ll Do

• Wear protective clothing and respirators (Air filters) when necessary and required by Group Leader/Supervisor
• Must be able to hear safety alarms, climb ladders, wear a respirator, lift to 50lbs, and wear safety boots
