Job summary

Planet Fitness PF Baseline Fitness is seeking a full-time Fitness Trainer to design simple workouts, teach proper equipment use, and lead the PE@PF program. You will help new members achieve their fitness goals and promote class sign-ups while ensuring a welcoming, safe gym environment.

The role involves front desk duties, member tours, answering questions, and maintaining club cleanliness. Candidates should be fitness-certified and passionate about service.

Responsibilities

• Run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program and follow the schedule.
• Consult with members to design safe, effective workouts.
• Promote PE@PF class sign-ups with creative approaches.
• Prepare bi-weekly exercise updates.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and traffic.
• Assist at the front desk with phones, sign-ins, and tours.
• Respond professionally to member questions and escalate as needed.
• Maintain club neatness and appearance.

Job Title: Trainer

Job Summary

Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
• Creating creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist in front desk related activities including:
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members into the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Take potential members on tours.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
• Assist in cleanliness and appearance of club.

Minimum Qualifications

• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• Completed fitness trainer certification.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
