Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Trainer to run the PE@PF program, assist new members in achieving fitness goals, and instruct proper equipment use. You will design simple workouts, schedule classes, and guide members through tours and sign-ups.

You will collaborate with front desk operations, answer member questions, and maintain a welcoming club environment. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program and create the schedule.
• Consult with members on fitness goals and instruct proper and safe equipment use.
• Create creative ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
• Create bi-weekly updates with a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist at the front desk with answering phones and member inquiries.
• Check members into the system and handle new member sign-ups.
• Take potential members on tours of the club.
• Respond to member questions and escalate when needed to leadership.
• Maintain the club's neatness and appearance.
• Assist in overall cleanliness and appearance of the club.

Job Title: Trainer

Job Summary

Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
• Creating creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist in front desk related activities including:
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members into the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Take potential members on tours.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
• Assist in cleanliness and appearance of club.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
