Job summary

Planet Fitness PF Baseline Fitness is seeking a Trainer to run the PE@PF program, design simple workout plans, and coach members on proper and safe equipment use to help them reach their fitness goals.

This full-time, non-exempt position supports front desk activities, assists with member sign-ups and tours, and keeps the club clean and welcoming for every guest. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program and create a schedule.

• Produce bi-weekly exercise updates.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist front desk tasks: answer phones, check-in, sign-ups, tours, update accounts.
• Respond to member questions promptly and escalate when needed.
• Maintain club cleanliness and appearance.

Job Title: Trainer

Reports to: Club Manager

Status: Full Time/Non-Supervisor/Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
• Creating creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist in front desk related activities including:
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members into the system.
• New member sign-up.
• Take potential members on tours.
• Changing/updating member account information
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
• Assist in cleanliness and appearance of club.

Minimum Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.

• Completed fitness trainer certification.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
