Planet Fitness - PF Baseline Fitness in Moorhead, MN is seeking a full-time Trainer to lead the PE@PF program and coach members on proper equipment use to help them reach fitness goals.

Responsibilities include running the PE@PF schedule, assisting front desk operations, promoting class sign-ups, and maintaining a clean, welcoming club environment for all members.

Qualifications

• Must hold an accredited fitness trainer certification.
• Assist members in setting fitness goals and guide proper equipment use.
• Promote PE@PF class sign-ups with creative outreach.
• Create bi-weekly workout updates.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Support front desk tasks: answer phones, check-ins, sign-ups, tours.
• Respond professionally to member questions and escalate when needed.
• Maintain neatness and appearance of the club.

Job Title: Trainer

Reports to: Club Manager

Status: Full Time/Non-Supervisor/Non-Exempt

Job Summary

Responsible for running the Planet Fitness group fitness program (PE@PF). This includes assisting new members in the achievement of their fitness goals by designing a simple workout program and instructing them on the proper use of equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program, including creating and following the schedule.
• Consult with members regarding their fitness goals and instruct them on how to use the equipment properly and safely.
• Creating creative and unique ways to promote PE@PF class sign-ups.
• Create bi-weekly updates consisting of a variety of exercises.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and member traffic.
• Assist in front desk related activities including:
  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
  • Check members into the system.
  • New member sign-up.
  • Take potential members on tours.
  • Changing/updating member account information
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Team Lead, MIT or Club Manager as needed.
• Help maintain the neatness/cleanliness of the club.
• Assist in cleanliness and appearance of club.

Minimum Qualifications

• Honesty and good work ethic
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A passion for fitness and health
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member’s expectations.
• Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• Completed fitness trainer certification.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. less than 30% of the time.
