Job summary

Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks an Exercise Specialist at our Atlanta fitness center. You will conduct fitness consultations, create progressive programs, and guide members on equipment use to ensure a positive, engaging experience.

Requires a relevant degree or NCCA certification, CPR/AED and First Aid, knowledge of testing and prescription, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or a related field, or a NCCA-accredited personal training certification.
• Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• Industry knowledge in exercise testing (assessments) and exercise prescription (program design).
• Ability to network, engage and interact with clients and members.
• Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing fitness consultations, movement screens, needs analyses and goal setting to recommend fitness programming and wellness services.
• Develop comprehensive progressive fitness programming to support and motivate participants.
• Monitor and instruct participants on safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength equipment.
• Educate participants on health and fitness information and available programs and services.
• Complete internal development courses through the learning platform.
• Maintain positive customer and client experience with high-quality service.
