Job summary
Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks an energetic Exercise Specialist for its fitness center in Redwood City, CA. You will conduct consultations, screen movement, set goals, and design progressive fitness programs to motivate participants.
You will educate on health information and wellness services, complete internal courses, and ensure a top-notch customer experience. CPR/AED and First Aid are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, kinesiology or related field or NCCA-certified PT.
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
- Experience with exercise testing and program design.
- Ability to engage with clients, guests and members.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness consultations, movement screens and goal setting.
- Develop progressive fitness programming to motivate participants.
- Instruct participants on safe use of cardio, flexibility and strength equipment.
- Educate on clinically proven health and wellness information and services.
- Complete internal development courses via LMS.
- Maintain high-quality customer and client experience.
