Job summary

Tetherow Resort in Bend, Oregon, seeks a Fitness Front Desk Supervisor to lead daily front desk operations in our fitness facility. The role requires supervising staff, handling scheduling, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will register members and guests, process sales at the front desk, maintain cleanliness, and uphold safety standards while representing the resort with a professional, energetic demeanor. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in retail or fitness center customer service; supervisory/lead level experience preferred.
• Current membership in a fitness center or strong knowledge of fitness center operations; resort/high-end club service experience preferred.
• Passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.
• Excellent communication, customer-service focus, and interpersonal abilities.
• Conflict resolution, problem solving, decision-making, and time management skills.
• Energetic, inspiring, adventurous with professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to work independently and in a team; develop cooperative relationships.
• Experience performing sales transactions using a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the fitness center front desk operations during assigned shift.
• Delegate daily tasks and monitor appearance, standards, and performance of front desk staff.
• Act as hub of information for all things Tetherow Fitness/Sport related.
• Direct contact for scheduling challenges and filling open shifts.
• Register members and guests and perform point-of-sale transactions.
• Provide amenities and maintain the facility, including locker rooms, pool deck, and front desk.
• Conduct regular facility checks for cleanliness and safety and enforce pool area rules.
• Assist Sport management with scheduling and other tasks as needed.
• Communicate clearly and foster a positive team environment and morale.
• Assist in recruiting and training new team members.

Who you are...

• You have a minimum of one year of experience in a retail or fitness center customer service position, ideally you have supervisory or lead level experience
• You have a current membership in a fitness center, or have a strong knowledge of fitness center operations; fitness industry and resort and/or high-end club related service experience strongly preferred
• You have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests

What you’ll do...

• Supervise the fitness center front desk operations during your assigned shift to a consistently high standard
• Delegate daily tasks, and monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of fitness front desk team members, with an emphasis on training and teamwork
• Act as the hub of information for all things Tetherow Fitness/Sport related
• Be a direct contact for the fitness front desk team, addressing scheduling challenges and filling open shifts
• Register members and guests in a friendly, professional, and expedient manner and perform point-of-sale transactions
• Provide amenities and maintain the facility, including locker rooms, pool deck, and front desk
• Perform regular facility checks for cleanliness and safety and enforce all rules and regulations of pool areas
• Assist Tetherow Sport management with scheduling and other operational tasks, as needed
• Communicate clearly and develop strong working relationships with all team members, contributing to a positive and cohesive working environment and positive morale
• Handle complaints and problems in a professional manner to ensure a successful outcome
• Assist in the recruit and training of new team members
