Job summary

Life Time Burr Ridge is seeking a Fitness Equipment Technician to maintain and repair fitness equipment in our resort-style environment. No experience needed; you’ll be trained on the job.

You’ll help ensure safety by promptly repairing non-functional equipment and performing preventative maintenance. You will document repairs, handle basic electrical components, AV systems, plumbing and general building tasks, and coordinate parts and timing with club management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment on the fitness floor is operating safely
• Keeps record of repairs performed on equipment
• Maintains electrical components, audio/video systems, basic plumbing and general building tasks
• Performs preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is working
• Updates purchase orders, requests parts for repairs, and creates a timeframe for part delivery
• Assists the Department Head with managing the budget.
