Job summary

Taymax Group, LP operates Planet Fitness clubs and seeks a Front Desk/Member Services associate in Oakland, CA. You will greet members, orient them to the facilities, and assist with tours, sign-ups, and member check-ins while maintaining a clean, welcoming environment.

You will also educate members on equipment use, schedule the PE@PF program, and provide motivation toward fitness goals, delivering exceptional service and support.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a passion for fitness and health.
• Exceptional customer service skills with positive, professional interaction.
• Strong listening and problem-solving abilities; calm under pressure.
• Current CPR Certification required; Personal Training Certification preferred (IFA, ACE or NCSF).

Responsibilities

• Familiarize members with the facility, maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Greet and assist members; conduct Planet Fitness PE@PF program scheduling.
• Consult with members on fitness goals; provide motivation and support.
• Instruct and orient members on equipment use; ensure safety.
• Assist at front desk: answer calls, signups, tours, and member check-ins.
• Maintain club cleanliness and equipment; assist with inventory and maintenance.
• Address member questions promptly; escalate to management when needed.
• Support club operations as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
