Job summary

University of Rochester is hiring for a part-time URM Fitness Center receptionist. You will greet visitors and members, promote the center, and assist with tours. You’ll help with memberships, payments, and member inquiries while ensuring safety and cleanliness of the facility.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least two years of related experience, with strong customer service and basic computer skills. Center membership is included as part of the position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2 years of related work experience required.
• Customer service skills and computer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives visitors, greets members and customers.
• Promotes the Fitness Center and provides tours to potential and new members.
• Assists current members with questions or issues.
• Enrolls new members and processes payments for memberships or merchandise.
• Ensures safety and wellbeing of members.
• Monitors the Center and troubleshoots issues as they arise.
• Cleans as needed and maintains organization of equipment.
• May close the facility and complete related tasks.
