Channel Islands YMCA in Santa Ynez, CA is seeking an Entry-level Fitness Attendant for a part-time position at Stuart C Gildred Family YMCA. Pay ranges from $17.51 to $18.01 per hour, with flexible scheduling and opportunities to gain certifications within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities include leading program orientations, assisting members with fitness goals, maintaining cleanliness of fitness areas and equipment, and providing excellent customer service while supporting administrative

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Group Exercise or Personal Training Certificate preferred.
• Previous related work experience preferred.
• Complete required certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Complete all required Branch and Position specific trainings as required within two weeks of hire.
• Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance.

• Implement and monitor the general program orientations and trainings, which cater to members’ health and fitness goals.
• Utilize tools and information for the purpose of increasing members’ knowledge of fitness, as well as other programs provided through the YMCA.
• Ensure phones are answered messages communicated; members and customers are handled appropriately. Ensure administrative support is available for other duties that may arise.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of fitness areas and equipment.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster connections with members.
• Ensure building, grounds, and equipment are in working order. Report any concerns.

What do Fitness Attendants do?
