Stuart C Gildred Family YMCA in Santa Ynez, CA is seeking a part-time Water Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, safe, and educational water exercise classes following YMCA guidelines.

You will design progressive plans, monitor attendance, provide excellent member service, and collaborate with staff while maintaining facilities and certifications.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required certifications: Nationally Recognized Water Aerobics Certification.
• Complete certifications within 60 days of hire.
• Complete branch and position trainings within two weeks of hire.
• Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance.

What does a Water Fitness Instructors do?

• Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational water fitness classes following YMCA or USWFA Instructor Guidelines, Protocols, and Visions of Excellence
• Design and conduct progressive exercise plans for program participants in accordance with the goals and policies of the YMCA
• Monitor attendance and report outcomes
• Maintain minimum class attendance standard
• Provides exceptional customer service and fosters connections with members
• Participating and satisfactory completion of in-service trainings
• Create an environment that is welcoming, nurturing, and welcoming for all members and guests
• Able to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a staff team
• Ensure building, grounds, and equipment are in working order. Report any concerns
• Maintain certifications and take advantage of professional growth opportunities
• Support the annual campaign process including education of members
• Understand your role as a mandated reporter of elder and child abuse. Report and respond to situations in accordance with policies and procedures
• Ensure safety of children in facilities and programs and that proper supervision is provided
