Job summary

Apollo, Inc. is seeking a QC Inspector to support our fabrication shop. You will perform and document quality inspections (dimensional, visual, fit-up) and verify that methods, materials, and welding procedures meet project requirements.

You will coordinate with internal customers and perform receiving inspection of equipment and material. The role requires a 2-year technical certification in Welding or engineering technology (or equivalent experience) and strong communication, organization, and

• 2-year technical certification in Welding or Engineering Technology required (equivalent work experience accepted).
• Clear and effective communication is essential.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, customers and suppliers with tact.

Job description

The QC Inspector will be responsible for performing and documenting inspections supporting our fabrication shop with the following tasks; including but not limited to:

• Perform various quality inspections i.e. Dimensional, Visual, Fit-up, etc…
• Verify methods and materials follow project requirements.
• Verify welding procedures and welder qualifications during fabrication
• Coordinate with internal customers
• Performing receiving inspection of equipment and material

Requirements

• 2-year technical certification in Welding or engineering technology. Equivalent related work experience acceptable.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to be organized
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Display diplomacy and tact in collaborating with a wide variety of colleagues, customers and suppliers
• Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word)
