Job summary

Apollo Mechanical Contractors is seeking a QC Inspector to support our fabrication shop. You will perform quality inspections (dimensional, visual, fit-up) and verify that methods and materials comply with project requirements, including welding procedures and welder qualifications.

You will coordinate with internal customers, perform receiving inspection of equipment and materials, and contribute to a fast-paced, safety‑conscious team environment with emphasis on accuracy and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical certification in Welding or engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Diplomacy when collaborating with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

Job description

The QC Inspector will be responsible for performing and documenting inspections supporting our fabrication shop with the following tasks; including but not limited to:

• Perform various quality inspections i.e. Dimensional, Visual, Fit-up, etc…
• Verify methods and materials follow project requirements.
• Verify welding procedures and welder qualifications during fabrication
• Coordinate with internal customers
• Performing receiving inspection of equipment and material

Requirements

• 2-year technical certification in Welding or engineering technology. Equivalent related work experience acceptable.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Ability to be organized
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Display diplomacy and tact in collaborating with a wide variety of colleagues, customers and suppliers
• Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word)
