Job summary

Bloom Energy is hiring a FIT Technician for a fully on-site night shift in Newark, DE. You will set up testing protocols, learn SOFC build configurations, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot with cross-functional teams. Strong documentation and ERP familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience with technical documentation and operating instructions.
• Ability to read Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Electrical Single Line Diagrams.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting methodologies and ERP systems.
• Lean Manufacturing experience and NFPA 70E safety awareness are pluses.

Responsibilities

• Set up and administer Testing Protocol(s).
• Learn and execute SOFC build configuration and operation.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Assist in troubleshooting activities.
• Communicate cross-functionally to resolve quality concerns.
• Provide status updates on testing cycles to upper management.
• Document all aspects of testing, quality concerns, and anomalies.
• Conduct testing safely at the Manufacturing Center or remote locations.

We are looking for a FIT Technician to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role willreportto FIT Supervisor and based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in officerole working Night shift hours.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Set up and administer Testing Protocol(s).
• Learn and execute Bloom Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) build configuration and operation.
• Perform required preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Apprentice on leading and executing troubleshooting activities.
• Communicate cross-functionally to highlight and resolve key Quality concerns.
• Provide updates to upper-management as to the status of Testing Cycles.
• Learn and execute requirements concerning the Documentation of all aspects of testing, including final assessment, quality concerns and testing anomalies.
• Responsible for safely conducting testing at the Manufacturing Center or remote locations.

Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma.
• Experience with technical documentation and operating instructions.
• Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Electrical Single Line Diagrams.
• Understanding of various Troubleshooting Methodologies.
• Computer systems knowledge preferably with MS Office programs.
• Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Tulip preferred).
• Lean Manufacturing experience (Desired).
• Understanding of key NFPA 70E safety requirements (Desired).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
• Occasionally lift/carry up to 25-50 lbs.
• Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift.
• Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials.
• Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff.
• Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots).
