Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking a Process Engineer to support night shift operations in Fremont, CA. You will respond to production line issues, troubleshoot high-precision equipment, and collaborate across teams to keep a steady flow of fuel cell manufacturing.

The role requires a high school diploma with related coursework or certifications and hands-on experience in thin-film processes. A safety-conscious mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Hands on experience in thin-film processes.
  • Hands on experience with operating and troubleshooting of high precision machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to technical issues.
  • Ability to follow direction, meet deadline, and collaborate in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skill set.
  • Adhere to safety requirements and ability to work in controlled environment wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Report to Process Engineering Manager and based in Fremont, CA.
  • Provide off-shift coverage (evenings and/or weekends) of all process engineering activities across multiple functional areas for fuel cell manufacturing.
  • Respond promptly to production line down scenarios, such as measurements out of spec, defects observed at automated visual inspection or manual visual inspection, defects on incoming parts, etc.
  • Assess the situation, determine root cause, and adjust parameters to return process under control and resume volume production.
  • Document activities appropriately.
  • Understand and react to abnormal events and coordinate containment and countermeasure activities in a cross functional environment.
  • Communicate clearly to co-workers and send out daily reports to team.
  • Ensure work meets or exceeds company workmanship standards.
  • Continuously improve efficiency.

This position will work the night shift, 6pm – 6am, Thursday- Saturday including every alternating Wednesday.
