Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Program Instructor to lead aerobic and fitness classes under the guidance of the Program Director. You will provide quality supervision, ensure a safe, non-competitive environment, and serve YMCA members with energy and professionalism.

The role emphasizes group exercise leadership, ability to learn choreography, and maintaining current certifications (CPR/AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention). Experience helpful, 18+ required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of basic exercise science preferred.
• Experience leading group exercise preferred.
• Ability to learn and demonstrate aerobic choreography.
• Maintain current certifications (CPR/AED, First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention) or obtain within 60–90 days.
