Job summary

YMCA of Greater Indianapolis is seeking a Swim Instructor to deliver safe, engaging swim lessons in accordance with YMCA safety standards. The role supports group classes and individual instruction while promoting water safety and class progression.

Benefits include a YMCA membership, flexible scheduling and professional development opportunities. Applicants must be 16+ and able to obtain required certifications within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to pass a swim test.
• Must obtain HCP within 90 days of employment.
• Must obtain First Aid, Lifeguard or Aquatic Safety Assistant certification within 90 days of employment.
• Current Swim Lesson Certification (YMCA or ARC) or Water Exercise Certifications (YMCA, Arthritis Foundation, etc.)
