Lynker Corporation is seeking a Fisheries Science Analyst to support NMFS West Coast Region Sustainable Fisheries Division. This role involves conducting ESA effects analyses, preparing NEPA documents, and evaluating fishery management strategies. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience. The position is remote with some required travel to Seattle and offers comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, PTO, and an employee stock ownership plan.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of the Magnuson-Stevens Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.
Experience in preparing NEPA analytical documents.
Experience conducting technical analyses for Pacific salmon and steelhead.
Responsibilities
Conduct ESA effects analyses for harvest and hatchery management frameworks.
Perform trend analysis, risk assessment, and population evaluations.
Prepare NEPA documents (EAs/EISs).
Evaluate alternative fishery management strategies.
Skills
Knowledge of fishing industry laws
Experience with NEPA documents
