Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related science, with 5+ years of clinical lab experience, 3+ years in FISH, and a California Cytogeneticist license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Five years or more of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• Three years experience performing FISH wet lab and FISH analysis.
• California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist License.

Responsibilities

• Perform tissue culture, harvesting, slide making, and banding.
• Operate automated karyotyping and FISH processing.
• Verify specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Maintain instrumentation and troubleshoot as needed.
• Report test results accurately and promptly.
