CLS Labcorp Central Laboratory Services Limited Partnership in Torrance, CA is seeking a Cytogenetics Technologist III to perform FISH testing and analyze hematologic and FFPE specimens. The role includes wet lab processing, microscopy, result interpretation, and reporting to support patient care.

We are seeking a Cytogenetics Technologist III to join our team in Torrance, CA. Work Schedule: Monday- Friday 2pm-10:30pm
This role is primarily focused on Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) testing and analysis, including wet laboratory processing, probe hybridization, fluorescence microscopy, result interpretation, documentation, and reporting for hematologic (heme) and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) specimens.
In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements. Understanding lab operations as well as policies and procedures. Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems. High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot assays, resolve technical issues, and maintain high-quality laboratory performance. Previous experience serving as a trainer, technical lead, or subject matter expert in a clinical cytogenetics or molecular pathology laboratory. Experience validating and implementing new FISH assays, probes, instrumentation, or laboratory workflows.
