Qualifications

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or three years of work involving financial records with accounting principles and a high school diploma; or one year maintaining fiscal records with an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or any equivalent combination.
  • High school diploma or higher; or an associate degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and training accepted.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports early intervention, intellectual disabilities, and mental health programs by managing financial records, processing payments, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping. Administrative tasks may include reconciling bank accounts and assuming duties of other Fiscal Technicians in their absence. You will also play an essential role in keeping fiscal operations organized, compliant, and timely. As a Fiscal Technician, you will perform the following duties:

  • Financial Recording: Record, review, process, and maintain fiscal documents for multiple human service programs
  • Report Preparation: Complete internal and external financial reports using spreadsheets and database tools
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll, prepare vouchers, track retirement information, and complete required reports
  • Accounts Payable: Input vouchers, review bills, prepare payments, and manage vendor files
  • Accounts Receivable: Process and submit billing for Community Care Behavioral Health services
  • Purchasing Support: Order office supplies, manage equipment purchases, and oversee wireless account updates
Work Schedule and Additional Information
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Potter County. If no eligible candidates who live within Potter County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
