Job summary

Virginia Department of Health seeks a Fiscal Technician to support Billing & Accounts Receivable, voucher processing, and records maintenance at its Virginia Beach HQ. The role requires meticulous handling of invoices, deposits, and travel reimbursements with state-approved procedures.

The candidate will work within the Fiscal Team, applying strong MS Office skills and accounting knowledge to ensure timely, accurate financial processing and compliance with Virginia state policies.

Qualifications

• MS Office proficiency including Excel, Access and Word.
• Understanding of core accounting principles and batch processing.
• Strong organizational, billing, customer service and data entry skills.
• Experience using Bank of America Works or a similar reconciliation program.
• Knowledge of state accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Handle Billing and Accounts Receivable tasks for the agency.
• Process invoices and vendor payments and reconcile deposits.
• Manage voucher processing and maintain records in financial systems.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and use Emburse for reimbursements.
• Maintain records with proper naming and filing conventions.
• Assist with travel arrangements and related documentation.
