Job summary

Washington State Department of Agriculture seeks a Fiscal Technician 3 to maintain program finances in the Animal Services Division. This role handles accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly reporting at the Olympia office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Fifteen quarter hours or ten semester hours of college-level accounting or bookkeeping.
• Two years of full-time experience as a Fiscal Technician, or equivalent, including experience using accounting-related software.
• Equivalent education/experience may substitute for minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage and audit program's fiscal systems and accounts receivable.
• Prepare journals and monthly invoices; reconcile payments.
• Produce weekly and monthly financial reports for the program.
• Oversee overdue balances and coordinate collection actions.
• Enter data into Animal Tracks or PISCES; liaise with field staff.
