The University of South Florida is seeking a payroll administrator in the Pediatrics Finance Office to manage payroll operations, reconciliations, and cost projections. This contract position emphasizes strict fiscal control, accurate reporting, and adherence to university policies.

Responsibilities include ASF payroll oversight for ~200 faculty/PSAs, fund reconciliations, EVU/E&G costing, Oracle data handling, and travel-related costing and approvals across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with four years of professional experience.
• Or master's degree with two years of experience.
• Equivalent substitutions by college coursework or vocational training allowed.

Responsabilités

• Oversee monthly clinical payroll for ~200 faculty and PSAs in Pediatrics.
• Gather call/extra pay data, report accurately, and add to payroll.
• Ensure prorated pay for new hires, terminations, and leaves.
• Audit salary and FTE; maintain documentation for audits.
• Submit payroll by UMSA deadlines and reconcile for accuracy.
• Investigate payroll anomalies and report results to leadership.
• Reconcile Pediatrics E&G funds and UMSA accounts; flag variances.
• Prepare EVU allocations costing and adjust as needed.
• Prepare costing forms for non-research funds; enter in Oracle.
• Download Oracle reports to track salary costing; adjust costs.
• Create RET forms to correct chart fields when needed.
• Analyze historical payroll data for budgeting and projections.
• Enter travel items into Archivum; ensure proper travel costing.
• Obtain approvals for international travel; ensure costing compliance.
• Follow up with travelers for documentation and steps.
