Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, business or public administration.
• Four years of professional level experience in accounting, budgeting and financial analysis/reporting; one year leading staff.
• Public agency experience preferred; degree substitution allowed for up to two years.
• Background investigation and work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate department's budgets and oversee policy implementation.
• Organize and supervise professional, technical, and office staff.
• Select, train, and develop staff; administer disciplinary actions.
• Develop and implement improved policies and procedures.
• Prepare financial records and reports; monitor grants and funds.
• Forecast and plan finances for long- and short-term needs.
• Audit collections and reconcile monetary reports.
• Oversee purchasing and contract processes, including RFPs.
• Represent the department in interdepartmental meetings.
