Job summary

Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials in Quincy, IL is seeking a full-time Fiscal Coordinator to support financial operations across grants and agency funds, coordinating accounts payable, cash management, budgeting, and reporting.

The ideal candidate has at least an associate degree in accounting or related field, 2+ years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines with accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, financial management, or a related fiscal position.
  • Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, budgeting, financial reporting, and financial recordkeeping.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn accounting and grant management software.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Grant accounting and financial management experience preferred.
  • Experience with governmental, nonprofit, or workforce development funding preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable, including reviewing and processing invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Monitor cash activity, record receipts and deposits, and calculate grant cash draws based on funding needs.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with month-end financial activities.
  • Monitor grant expenditures, budgets, projections, benchmarks, and available funding.
  • Prepare grant budgets and budget modifications and assist with financial projections.
  • Prepare and assist with required grant and financial reports, including quarterly reporting.
  • Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with grant requirements.
  • Maintain WIOA and other grant-funded inventory records.
  • Assist with fiscal compliance monitoring, grant monitoring visits, and annual audit preparation.
  • Communicate financial information, trends, and potential concerns to management and collaborate with program and administrative staff.

Fiscal Coordinator

Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials (TRRC) is accepting applications for a full-time Fiscal Coordinator to join our Fiscal Department.

TRRC is a nonprofit organization providing Community and Economic Development and Community Action programs in Adams, Brown, Pike, and Schuyler counties. We also provide Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act services in Hancock, Henderson, Knox, McDonough, and Warren counties.

The Fiscal Coordinator plays an important role in supporting TRRC’s financial operations and ensuring the responsible management of agency and grant funds. Working closely with the Finance Director and program staff, this position coordinates and supports accounts payable, cash management, grant accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and audit preparation.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable managing multiple financial responsibilities and deadlines.
