Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Fiscal Assistant 1 in Beaver Falls to support the Local Government agency’s financial operations. The role focuses on maintaining financial records, processing payments, tracking expenditures, and assisting with reporting activities.

You will perform accounts payable, financial tracking, purchasing, payroll support, vendor coordination, and travel reimbursements as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work.
• An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by 6 credits in accounting.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Prepare payment transmittals, process invoices, maintain payment records, and reconcile financial information with county payment records.
• Financial Tracking: Post accounting information to ledgers and spreadsheets, reconcile accounts, and compile quarterly and other financial reports.
• Purchase Orders: Prepare and submit purchase order requests, including blanket purchase orders for reimbursement purposes.
• Payroll Support: Maintain payroll and fringe benefit expense records and allocate costs across reporting cost centers.
• Vendor Coordination: Resolve vendor account concerns, request supporting documentation, and coordinate service-related issues when needed.
• Travel And Transit: Track staff travel reimbursements, record travel expenses for reporting, monitor bus pass inventory, and arrange replenishment requests
