Job summary

The University of North Carolina Greensboro is seeking an Assistant Director of New Student Transitions to lead program development, marketing, execution, and assessment for the Your First Year program. You will supervise graduate and undergraduate assistants, oversee creative content, and coordinate volunteer groups and key first-year engagement events.

The role represents NST & First Year Experience at university events, participates in campus-wide committees, manages funds, and evaluates

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education administration, student personnel, student development, or a related field; or a relevant undergraduate degree and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, marketing, execution, and assessment of the Your First Year (YFY) programs to support student engagement and success.
• Develop and maintain strategic campus partnerships that enhance transition support and student success.
• Oversee departmental marketing, communications, and outreach for NST and FYE programs with data-driven approaches.
• Plan and execute large-scale departmental events, coordinating staffing, logistics, and assessment.
• Supervise graduate and undergraduate assistants and student employees, including budget stewardship and performance feedback.
• Represent the department on university committees and at events, aligning with division priorities.
