Job summary

McCollister’s Transportation is hiring a 1st Shift Warehouse Team Leader in Glenville, NY to supervise the loading, unloading, and distribution of freight. You will train freight handlers, ensure safety, accuracy of paperwork, and optimize warehouse efficiency while meeting customer requirements.

The role requires at least 2 years of warehouse operations experience, forklift and bar coding skills, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of warehouse operations experience.
• Proficiency with loading, unloading, receiving, and paperwork management.
• Forklift and bar coding experience needed.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train freight handlers to maximize efficiency and exceed customer expectations.
• Protect freight, equipment, and facilities.
• Complete all required paperwork associated with freight handling.
• Verify that all required van equipment or special instructions have been met.
• Strive to improve warehouse efficiency.
• Train warehousemen.
• Quality assurance.
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklift.
• Asset scanning system.
• Keep track of all inventory, ensure all products are received by customers in good condition.
• Paperwork, load/unload documents.
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
