Job summary

Bigelow Tea in Louisville, KY is hiring a Warehouse Supervisor for 1st shift (Tuesday through Saturday, 10 AM to 6:30 PM). This on-site role leads shipping/receiving teams and ensures accurate inventory, on-time shipments, and adherence to safety policies.

You will coordinate with freight carriers and Customer Service to trace or correct shipments, maintain reports, and support production schedules while fostering a collaborative, safety‑conscious work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of vendors or employees of the organization.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; fraction and decimals; rate, ratio, percent; interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning ability: apply common sense to carry out instructions; handle problems with several variables.
• Physical demands: stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds; vision requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all assigned shipping and receiving personnel.
• Route TL and LTL shipments and inbound/outbound transfers.
• Maintain inventory counts and ensure required reports are completed.
• Work with freight carriers to resolve delivery problems.
• Coordinate with Customer Service to trace shipments and correct errors.
• Provide guidance and assistance to Warehouse personnel.
• Enforce Safety and Health policies; inspect forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Review production schedules and ensure materials are available.
• Edit raw material paperwork; print and distribute reports.
• Communicate daily with corporate Customer Service and transportation vendors.
• Member of Plant Management Team.
