Job summary

Vistar, a leading candy, snack, and beverage distributor, is seeking a warehouse associate for the 1st shift (6:00 AM start). Work involves selecting cases from multi-level racks, palletizing, and preparing orders for shipment while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires comfort working in multi-temperature environments (cooler/freezer/dry) and a commitment to overtime as needed; wage is $14–$16 per hour with an additional differential and incentive opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures; keep work area safe and report hazards.
• Review schedule, gather supplies, and perform safety checks on equipment.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards per guidelines.
• Move pallets on pallet jack along racks and locate products per orders.
• Place stock on pallets, shrink-wrap when required, and prepare for shipping.
• Transport completed orders to shipping dock and complete paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
