Lake Air Products is seeking a 1st shift Hand Laser Welder in Vadnais Heights, MN. The role requires TIG/MIG experience and hands-on welding skills. You will lay out parts, secure them, and ensure weld quality across flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of TIG, MIG and Tack-weld experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform measurements.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 pounds and wear PPE.
• Strong collaboration with leadership team.
• Experience welding in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
• Develop templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
• Welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs
