Lake Air Products in Roseville, MN is seeking a skilled 1st shift welder with TIG experience to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves reading blueprints, selecting welding methods, and welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform measurements.
• Willingness to work on 1st shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts per specifications using measurement tools.
• Observe welded surfaces with hydrostatic, x-ray, and tolerance checks.
• Develop templates and tooling to hold and align parts.
• Choose welding methods based on metallurgy and geometry.
• Inspect finished parts against samples for conformance.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

Position Summary

We are looking for a 1st shift welder to join our growing location in Roseville, MN. If you have TIG experience and enjoy working with your hands, this could be a great position for you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
• Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
• Welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred)
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
• Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements
