Job summary

Salm Partners is seeking a 1st shift Team Lead for our manufacturing facility. You will provide technical direction in Sleeving, Stuffing, Rapid Pak packaging, Case Pack, Production Staging and Palletizing areas to ensure safe and efficient production and sanitation.

Responsibilities include coordinating temporary staffing, supervising equipment setup, maintaining quality records, and ensuring compliance with USDA and SQF standards. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior leadership experience and 3+ years in an Operator role in a USDA-regulated food environment strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of the QX extrusion system and cook-in-package process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilitator with staffing temporary workers and communicating needs to HR.
• Oversee pre-shift meetings and supervise production activities for safety and efficiency.
• Ensure equipment setup aligns with Operational Parameters; support daily maintenance and adjustments as needed.
• Monitor product quality and record hourly performance data; address issues with operators.
• Maintain sanitation and compliance with USDA, SQF, GMP, and safety requirements.
• Provide backup support to shift personnel and communicate issues to shift leadership.
