Job summary

Wilson Tool Canada in White Bear Lake, MN is seeking a 1st shift Tapping Tooling Assembly – Specials to assemble, inspect, and test tapping tools and related components per drawings, work instructions, and specifications.

You will use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions, maintain quality records, follow safety procedures, and help the Specials team meet production schedules in a continuous improvement environment.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, mechanical assembly, machining, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Comfortable using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
• Ability to meet production requirements while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble tapping tools and related components according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Inspect components and completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and proper fit.
• Use precision measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Perform basic machine or equipment operations as needed to support assembly and finishing processes.
• Identify quality issues or assembly concerns and communicate them to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Support continuous improvement efforts within the Specials area.
