Job summary

rms Company in Minnesota is hiring a Tool Room Machinist I to program, set up, and operate multiple types of Toolroom Equipment. You will manufacture tooling components from CAD models and work a 1st shift, Mon–Fri, 6:00am–2:30pm, in a precision tooling environment.

You will support quality systems and collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality tooling components.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1 year of machining precision components experience.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T.
• Strong math skills, including trigonometry.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture fixturing and tooling from engineering drawings.
• Build reliable tooling components on time.
• Perform maintenance on Toolroom equipment.
• Set up and operate CNC and Manual Toolroom Equipment.
• Design specialty fixturing for Toolroom processes.
• Troubleshoot using a numbers-based approach.
• Document maintenance and build activities in required databases.
• Read and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Partner with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
