Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking a skilled Swiss Lathe CNC Programmer/Operator to join a precision machining team. The role focuses on programming, setup, and process optimization for high-volume, tight-tolerance parts.

First shift hours are 7:00am-3:00pm, with competitive hourly pay and a strong emphasis on quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Swiss CNC experience, proficiency with Citizen/Star/Tsugami/Tornos equipment, and the ability to read GD&T and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Swiss CNC programming and setup experience.
• Experience with Citizen, Star, Tsugami, or Tornos Swiss-style CNC equipment.
• Proficiency in editing and troubleshooting CNC programs.
• CAM programming experience is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot Swiss-style CNC lathes.
• Develop and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and process docs.
• Select tooling, workholding, and machining strategies for each job.
• Perform machine setups, prove-outs, and process adjustments.
• Edit CNC programs and offsets to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct inspections with precision measuring equipment.
• Monitor tool wear and implement improvements to reduce cycle times and scrap.
• Collaborate with engineering/quality/production to resolve issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and training for operators.
