Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Columbus, OH is seeking a Press Operator to run automatic stamping presses, uphold safety, and meet LEAN production goals on the first shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 am–4:30 pm) with potential overtime. You will inspect quality per blueprints and support setup changes with team leaders.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year related experience, strong math and measurement skills, and the ability to read tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year related experience and/or training preferred.
• Safety: prioritize safe work practices and environment.
• Accountability and dependability with punctual attendance.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32" and measure angles to 1 degree.
• Proficient English instruction comprehension and communication.
• Computer skills for daily tasks and training.

Responsibilities

• Operate automatic stamping presses to produce components.
• Assist with press set-ups and changeovers.
• Perform quality inspections to specifications using precision tools.
• Count, package and palletize finished product per work orders.
