Openwork is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Manager for our Stafford, TX location. This hands-on leadership role oversees shipping/receiving, inventory control, freight coordination, and supervision of a six-person team across six properties.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in shipping/logistics with 2+ years of supervision, strong leadership, inventory accuracy, and cost-management skills. This full-time, direct-hire position offers a first-shift schedule and a competitive bonus.
Qualifications
- 5+ years shipping/receiving/warehouse/logistics experience.
- Minimum 2 years supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple buildings.
- Experience coordinating freight, obtaining quotes, and negotiating carrier rates.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, freight invoices, and damage claims.
- Experience with ERP software and Excel.
Responsabilités
- Manage daily shipping, receiving, warehouse, and inventory operations.
- Supervise and train a team of six employees.
- Oversee inventory across six properties.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and cycle counts.
- Obtain freight quotes and negotiate carrier rates.
- Ensure safety and forklift operation; improve processes.
