Job summary

Positronic Industries, Inc. is seeking a PTM Operator to set up and operate precision transfer machines to produce high quality parts. The role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will conduct machine changeovers, study blueprints and layout sheets to determine machining, and plan tool selection and speeds. Install loaders and verify tool positions, run cycles, and ensure first-run parts meet specs while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Long periods of standing with regular bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and pushing/pulling; must lift up to 50 lbs.
• First shift (Mon-Fri 6:00am–2:30pm).
• Work performed on production floor with loud noise and exposure to oils; PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete changeovers for machines to transition to new parts.
• Study blueprints and layout sheets to determine machining and tolerances.
• Visualize machine movements and plan operation sequencing for efficiency.
• Select cutting speeds, feeds, depths, and tools based on experience or reference tables.
• Install loaders, collets, and bushings; mount tools and verify positions with gauges.
• Operate machines, adjust tool positions, and ensure first run pieces meet specs.
• Replace worn tools and uphold quality and safety standards in production.
